The BJP leaders in the state of Telangana are in a peculiar situation. There is a lone MLA from BJP in Telangana in the form of Raja Singh. Now that the former Party President Kishan Reddy from Amberpet and the present Chief of BJP from Musheerabad have lost the election, they want to contest for parliament.

There was a rumour that Kishan Reddy might contest from Secunderabad parliament. Now there are rumours that Dr Laxman is all set to take the Secunderabad parliament seat. Both of them are senior leaders in the BJP, but they don’t have the clout and sympathy that the Present MP from Secunderabad Dattatreya has got.

In fact, Dattatreya has already started campaigning for the Secunderabad parliament. Yesterday he went around various parts of the constituency and held group meetings and booth level meetings with the workers.

Malkajgiri and Secunderabad are the seats where the BJP might contest for the coming parliament elections. It has to be seen how far the people will welcome the BJP in the coming elections. Some TRS MLAs are also poised to contest as MPs.

It will be an interesting parliament election in the coming days.
