Indian Railways removed the caterer of the Howrah-New Delhi Poorva Express after a passenger complained he was served a lizard in his order of vegetable biryani.
The passenger told he ordered food in Mokama and complained to the ticket collector and tweeted to railway minister Suresh Prabhu after finding a lizard in his biryani.
“The thing which I regret the most is that I was given medicines really late. I was not given any medication for about four hours,” he told .
The divisional railway manager of Danapur division, Kishor Kumar, condemned the incident and assured a detailed enquiry in the matter.
