Liquor deaths rock AP Assembly

The liquor deaths of Jangareddygudem have rocked the Assembly and council today in Andhra Pradesh. The TDP MLAs rushed into the podium and hurled papers on the speaker Tammineni Sitaram.

The members climbed over the speaker’s Podium.

The MLAs were carrying placards against the Government and demanded a discussion on the liquor deaths. LOP Chandrababu reached Jangareddygudem and talked to the family members of the people who died to illicit liquor.

The slogans of the TDP members rocked the AP Assembly. They surrounded the speaker chair and demanded a probe into the liquor deaths.

An urgent meeting was convened by the CM Jagamohan reddy with the ministers over the deaths. Some Ministers tried to prevent the people from meeting Chandrababu Naidu.

The TDP is demanding an exgratia to the family members of the dead persons to the extent of Rs 25 lakh each. Botsa Satyanarayana on the other hand has blamed the TDP government for the present sorry state of affairs in the state of AP.

The YSRC Government led by Jagan in fact promised prohibition in a phased manner, but nothing has been done so far. The Government is overdependent on the liquor revenue in the state.

Kodali Nani the controversial Minister on the other hand made a statement that the liquor deaths were natural deaths. YSRC MLA Roja balmed TDP for supplying any time liquor in the state during Chandrababu’s regime.
