It is reported that K Chandrasekhar Rao the Chief Minister of Telangana has decided to construct the new secretariat here at the Tank Bund in the same old place. The old buildings will be demolished and the new buildings will be constructed on the banks of Hussain Sagar as it is.
The proposal to construct the new secretariat in the name of Vaastu has been deferred. The Bison Polo ground has some issues and the State Government has decided not to construct the Secretariat here.
Now that the Andhra buildings were taken over by the Telangana, the offices will be first shifted to the other buildings and the new secretariat building would be constructed soon it is reported. There are reports that since both the Chief Ministers of Andhra and Telangana have come together under the leadership of Governor Narasimhan, the 7 mandals from Khammam would also come back to the Telangana Government soon.
Earlier these 7 mandals were merged into Andhra Pradesh against the wish of the Telangana Government. So the shifting of Secretariat from Liberty to Secunderabad will not take place. The state secretariat will remain on the banks of Hussain Sagar and in front of the Telugu Talli statue as it is.
