There is widespread talk in the Political and police circles that PSR Anjaneyulu the Intel Chief could be shifted for contacting MLA and disclosing information about Phone tapping.
After Kotamreddy’s announcement, Anjaneyulu rushed to chief minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy and closeted with him and his advisor Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy. He reportedly gave an explanation to the chief minister.
It is learnt that Jagan expressed anger at the IPS officer, but could not take any immediate action.
The IPS officer might be shifted out of the post,” police sources said. Anjaneyulu popular as PSR was Vijayawada commissioner during the TDP regime where he misbehaved with a lady.
He worked with Arvind Rao as an intel officer and was instrumental in chasing the YSR during the TDP regime. He was close to Chandrababu also.
PSR is close to some cinema people also. He was the man who was used by the then Governor Narasimhan for suppressing the Telangana agitation in Osmania University.
He was promoted and transferred to Delhi services. He came back to AP in the Jagan Regine to the transport department and now is the intel chief.
PSR is an efficient office if we leave along his personal habits. He has been a loyal worker to the Government concerned.
For now, Sajjala made a desperate bid to defend Anjaneyulu, saying he might have made the call to the rebel MLA only to warn him against making strong comments against the government and the party leadership.
But Jagan will not tolerate such things and he could be transferred at any point in time.
