Using modern technology and to promote skill development, Digital Excellence Centers are being established in the State.
Three centers have already been set up, and we are currently in the process of establishing five more.
These initiatives are proving to be successful and are serving their purpose effectively according to the officials.
Earlier the libraries were just to read books and newspapers, but now they will be used for training the youth.
The centers will also facilitate people in online services like applying for the Aadhaar, Pan, Voter ID card, and driving license and among others services.
The decision has been aimed at providing skill development programs to youth besides empowering women through training in entrepreneurship, thereby further enhancing visitors to the public libraries.
Right now the public libraries see a mad rush only when recruitment notifications are announced by the State government.
CM KCR has been firm that the state of Telangana must train the youth in various aspects so that they become self-reliant.
He is of the opinion that all of them should not depend on the Government for employment. In fact, the Minister for IT and Industries said that the youth must try to give employment to others rather than becoming an employee.
