Libraries in Police Stations

A novel initiative Gyan key library at Uppal Police station & ZPHS Uppal was launched by CP Rachakonda Mahesh Bhagwat IPS.

This is a joint initiative of Rural Relations, Pune organization of Pradeep Lokhande & Rachakonda Police. All 44 Law and order police stations in Rachakonda & 25 Government schools shortlisted for Student Police Cadet program from Medchal Malkajgiri and Yadadri Bhongir districts will have these libraries with books related to Laws, personality development, values, leadership etc in English & Telugu.

The CP office has provided 50 books on CrPC, IPC, special laws, etc for the police personnel and NGO has provided 182 books for the use of visitors to police stations. Such library facility for police personal & visitors is for the first time in Police stations of Telangna.

Speaking on the occassion, Sri Bethi Subhash reddy MLA Uppal appreciated the Rachakonda Police for the wonderful initiative of providing books both for the visitors to PS and for the benifit of Police personnel.

i Mahesh Bhagwat IPS speaking to media quoted Norman Lewis who said that there are two types people in the world – first type are those who cannot read and second are those who do not have the will to read and that there is no difference between both. Due to stressful working conditions, police also do not find time to read.

So these books of various types general knowledge, fitness, yoga, personality development, biographies of leaders are useful for not only visitors but for police personal as well. CP Rachakonda thanked Pradeep Lokhande for his Nobel work.

The CP office has also provided 50 law books for the benefit of Police. He also quoted ‘padhega india to badhega india’. DCP Malkajigiri Rakshita IPS, DCP Traffic Divyachran Rao, Addl DCP Admin Shilpawali, ACP Malkajigiri, SHO Uppal and others attended.
