Launch of “Last Ride Service” CP and Feed the Needy team


During the Covid Second Wave Strain with an increased number of calls & demand for the cremation of Covid deceased patient body to the cremation ground, Feed the Needy Team has resumed its Free Last Ride Services in Cyberabad. Cyberabad CP, ADGP, V.C. Sajjanar, IPS., sought to resume of Last Ride Services in the Cyberabad Limits. The vehicle was flagged off by the Commissioner today on Monday 19th, April 2021 at 04:00 PM at Cyberabad CP office.

The Last Ride Services will be free of cost and will cater to carry dead bodies of Covid or Non-Covid, belonging to any caste or creed. The services will be available from Morning 8.00 AM – Evening 6.00 PM and we will also take care of the cremation of any deceased body were any near or dear ones are not available to take care of last rights of their loved ones. About Feed the Needy is a team of 10 IT professionals, who has always in the forefront in serving society. Since, 04th, July 2020 to 31st, Dec 2020, total 210 cremations we have done out of which 150 are Covid deaths, the remaining 60 are Non-Covid deaths.

Cyberabad, CP, ADGP, Sri. V.C. Sajjanar, IPS., appreciated the initiative of the Feed the Needy Organization and more so when such a service was the need of the hour during the Covid pandemic.

He stated that the group of 10 youngsters behind the initiative have also been working actively with SCSC as volunteers with Traffic Forum and also fed many during the lockdown.
