The Chief Ministers office has placed orders for 10 Land Cruise Prado cars which would cost around 15 crore. Out of the 10 eight will be bullet proof cars.
This is for the chief Minister. The cars will join the convoy of the Chief Minister in 3 months. Every 3 years the CM vehicles will be changed keeping the security and also the fitness of the vehicles in mind.
But there is a rumour in the Pragathi Bhavan corridors that the new Convoy was ordered for the sake of KTR the man who is supposed take over from KCR.
The intelligence officials have clarfied that it was a routine process and nothing new about it. Every three years the convoy will be changed keeping the security of the CM in mind.
All the bullet proof cars have a facility where a gun can be used from the cars while on the move. The Gun can be mounted and used from the cars against the attacks.
The cars can accomidate 7 persons along with the driver. A brief research was also done before finalsing the Prado cars for the CMs convoy. Whoever is the CM after 3 months will use the new Prados.
