This Sunday it is Bonalu Jatara at Mahankali Secunderabad. The festival is going on right from the early morning under the supervision of Minister Talasani Srinivas Yadav.
Minister for Endowments Indrakaran Reddy along with his wife participated in the Bonalu and offered prayers to Mahankali. Minister Talasani Srinivas Yadav offered Gold Bonam called Bangaru Bonam to Ammavaru.
The State Government has allocated funds for the Bonalu in Hyderabad. Haryana Governor Bandaru Dattatreya also had the darshan of Ammavaru at Secunderabad.
Revanth Reddy the PCC Chief of Telangana also offered prayers at the Ujjayini Mahankali Temple this morning. The police have arranged tight security arrangements for the Bonalu here in Secunderabad.
Mayor Vijayalaxmi also had the darshan of Ammavaru in Lashkar.
The Potharajus danced to the tunes of Teenmaar here on the streets of Mahankali Temple. On Monday the Rangam will be done where a lady will predict the future for Telangana.
Thousands of ladies from across the twin cities of Hyderabad and Secunderabad came to the Temple and offered Bonalu here. The festival will follow in the other areas in the coming Sundays. Next Sunday it will be Bonalu Jathara at Lal Darwaja.
Lakhs of people are to be worshipping Ammavaru by Monday evening it is reported.
