The Laddus sold by the TTD in the name of Prasadam have lost their glamour and flavour we can say. Earlier hwne the TTD prasadam in the from of Laddu was brught to home it used to spread aroma around and people would know that there is Laddu here around.

Even in the train bogeys the smell of Laddu was observed.

But tehse days the laddu is just mixed with Sugar Granules and there are very few dry fruits in that. The ilaichi is also very negligible. Overall teh taste of the laddu is dull and drab.

These days it is sold easily and made on a machine. Earlier the quality was good and only a limited number was sold. These days it is sold in large numbers and is available in the local Temple also across the country.

Sometimes some pieces are underweight also. The rate was increased from Rs 25 to Rs 50 and the number of free laddus was also reduced by the TTD.

But the TTD says the Sri Vaishnava Brahmin workers who have been engaged in the task of making Srivari laddu Prasadams since several centuries for generations at Srivari temple in Tirumala asserted that there is no compromise on the quality and taste in preparing the most sought-after and prestigious Laddu Prasadams.

In the light of some suggestions made by the devotees about the quality of Laddus, a meeting was held with the Laddu workers with the concerned officials at Vaibhavotsava Mandapam in Tirumala on Saturday.

They said making Srivari laddus is their prime duty for several centuries. There is no change or compromise in the taste or quality of Laddus as the ingredients used are as per Dittam as supplied by the TTD officials. They affirmed that there is no scope for diminished quality of laddus.
