The Governor is now inclined to appoint the new CM for Karnataka and the JDS and Congress have to prove the majority on the floor of the house. Yeddyurappa will submit the resignation to the Governor and Governor will ask the CM to continue till anew man is appointed.
Yeddyurappa conceded the defeat on the floor of the house as he could not get any MLAs and he did the right thing by resignation on the floor of the house. It is for the JDS and the Congress to prove the majority. The National Anthem was played twice after the session of the Assembly.
The two MLAs coming back to the Congress made all the difference to the BJP and Yeddy could not muster any support for the BJP in the end. The Unity of the Congress and JDS have succeeded in the end.
Now is the time the unity of JDS and Congress will be tested. The sharing of the power is not so easy. The Ministry and the portfolios will make all the difference. The Modi -Shah Jodi have failed for the first time and they could not get the required numbers after being the single largest party. It was a mistake to push Yeddy for staking the claim. People from the Congress rightly said that Yeddy will be a one day CM.
Hundreds of crores were offered but the MLAs could not be lured till the end. After getting power in Goa. Meghalaya, Manipur and other states, the BJP failed in Karnataka.
