Doubledecker buses were very popular in Hyderabad earlier. Now there are no doubledeckers in the city of Hyderabad. A citizen who loves doubledeckers tweeted to KTR the Minister for Municipal administration about the doubledeckers on the streets.
KTR also tweeted that he remembered using the Doubledecker buses when he was in the St Georges grammar school at Abids. He also asked the Minister for Transport if hey can be revived.
The Minister for Transport Ajay promptly stated that there is every chance that the ride on the doubledecker buses can be revived in the city. There are some tourism spots where the doubledeckers with the opentop are being used.
They are also used in film shootings. Now the same can be seen on the streets of Hyderabad and Secunderabad soon. It was popularly called as the double bus by the citizens in Hyderabad.
KTR the Minister wondered as to why the doubledeckers were not being used on the city roads these days. Lets hope they will be revived soon.
