Construction of Multilevel/Grade separators at LB Nagar and surroundings in Hyderabad taken up by GHMC under SRDP was entrusted to M/s. BSCPL Infra Ltd and the work is under progress at Bairamalguda Junction.
Bairamalguda LHS clover leaf loop work is in progress and the casting of 11th deck slab (P11-P12) started around 10 Pm on Dt:20.06.2023 after ensuring all safety and precautionary measures. During pouring last leg of concrete around 3 am on 21.06.2023 suddenly the staging / slab collapsed.
In this incident (9) persons including one site engineer received injuries. Immediately all the (9) persons were shifted to KIMS Hospital, Secunderabad for treatment.
7 persons who received minor injuries were treated with first aid and being discharged. Out of the two who received major injuries, one is declared to be out of danger and treatment for other one is going on and is said to be under observation. No Public/ Citizen is injured and traffic is moving smoothly.
Hon’ble Minister for Municipal Administration Sri. K.T. Rama Rao visited KIMS Hospital and met with the injured persons and assured that all the expenses for the treatment will be taken care by the State Government.
Hon’ble Minister instructed Special Chief Secretary MA&UD to get the investigation of the incident done by an independent third party agency preferably JNTU.
Further it was also instructed to constitute a committee of Chief Engineers of GHMC headed by Engineer-in-Chief, GHMC for conducting an enquiry into the cause of accident and submit report clearly duly fixing the responsibility.
