IT and Municipal Minister K Taraka Rama Rao is very unhappy with the centre. It may be noted that he met the PM Modi earlier and requested for the Bison Polo grounds and also the defence lands to be given to the state for the development of roads, flyovers and also the state secretariat.
But so far no decision was taken on that account. He reminded the centre about the Bangalore happening where the central government has given the defence lands to the local authorities for the requirements of the development of infrastructure. In the same fashion Telangana must also get the lands from the centre he said.
The state of Telangana will compensate the same amount of land on the outskirts of the city fo the Army he said. But the Modi government is et to make a decision on the matter.
On the other hand, KCR the Telangana CM who met Modi yesterday also made the same request again. He was supposed to meet the ministers the second day, but due the death of his sister KCR has rushed back to Hyderabad to be there for the funeral and pay his last respects.
Coming to the roads, the area around parade grounds and Secunderabad gets chocked during the peak hours. To make this free from the traffic congestion land is needed for the road expansion and also or the construction of the flyovers.
