It’s one feather in the cap of our IT Minister K Taraka Rama Rao. Amazon, the US-based global e-commerce giant, will open its largest fulfilment centre in India in Hyderabad.

Amazon’s latest offerings for Hyderabad bears testimony to the fact that Hyderabad is fast growing into a logistics hub of India, which will culminate into the generation of hundreds of new jobs and thanks to the active persuasion of IT Minister KTR.

The upcoming warehouse will be spread over an area of 400,000 square feet and will have a storage capacity of 2.1 million cubic feet.

The company will unveil the facility at GMR Hyderabad City Airport on Saturday.

Besides, the e-commerce giant also has plans to start in Hyderabad a technology development centre which will be largest such unit outside its headquarters in Seattle, the report adds.
