The Government has appointed K Taraka Rama Rao the Working President of the TRS and Minister as the Chairman of the Fiber Grid Corporation.
Governor Tamil Isai has approved the recommendation of the Telangana Government. The first meeting of the Fibre Grid corporation was held in 2017 .
After that, the meeting was held in October 2019 and it was decided that KTR should be appointed as the Chairman for the Corporation. Now the same was recommended to the Governor by the Telangana Government.
The Governor after examining the proposal has approved the same. Jayesh Rajan the IT Secretary will be the Vice-Chairman of the Corporation. The Fiber Grid Corporation is also being called as T-Fibre.
The Government of Telangana has created a separate entity by the name Telangana Fiber Grid Corporation Ltd. for roll-out of optic fiber and network infrastructure across the state. … The network shall be capable of delivering 4-100 Mbps to household and on-demand 20-100 Mbps to institutions and enterprises.
