K Taraka Rama Rao today inspected the tunnel works of Kaleshwaram projects here. He inspected the tunnel and pumphouse works at Konaraopet. He also attended the Kalyanautsavam of Gangamamma Talli in the adjoining area.
Talking on occasion here KTR said that the TRS government was taking up the project works at a faster pace and that the centre was not allocating the funds on regular basis.
He said that the compensation to the villagers was also being paid at the earliest wherever the land was taken for the construction of the projects here across the state. The farmer’s irrigation will always be taken up on priority basis he stated. He appreciated the workers and engineers for doing a commendable job.
He said that under Midmaner his relatives have also given land to the project. This is for cultivating the lands across the state he said. The Collector and ENC were also with KTR while the inspection was going on. The projects will meet the deadline he opined. He said hats off to the engineers who have done the project.
One more kilometre tunnel has to be dug to the project and the reservoir is completed. We will get water for the two crops in the coming years he stated.
