K Taraka Rama Rao the IT Minister was seen in a Nehru coat or Waz coat for the first time. This coat is popular with the BJP leaders. He has presented a Waz coat at the Handloom exhibition at Necklace road here in Hyderabad. Today is the world Handloom day. The Telangana government has been doing this festival since last 3 years.
We have done huger allocations to the extent of Rs 400 crore KTR said. People from other states are looking at our schemes and are implementing them.
KCR knows the plight of the needy and that is the reason he could come to the rescue of them with the welfare schemes he said. Lor of welfare is being done for the Handloom and textile workers he said. There is a lot of contribution from the Government side in terms of recurring deposit he explained.
A lot of hand holding for the Handloom workers is being done he stated. The product is also being purchased in some ways by the Government he explained. Rs 40 crore the loans accumulated the handloom weavers has been waived by the Government KTR announced.
All out efforts are being extended to see that the Handloom weavers are happy he said. The Telangana government is allocating funds better than any other government he stated. Technology should be used extensively for the weaving and new designs he said. Online marketing will also be used he explained. A fashion show will be done this evening at HICC he said.
