K Taraka Rama Rao unfurled the National flag here at the TRS Bhavan today on the eve of Republic Day. This is the first time that KTR hoisted the flag and saluted the National flag. He along with others sang the National song.
Earlier it was Nayani Narasimha Reddy who used to unfurl the National flag. Since KTR took over as the working President he hoisted the flag and saluted the flag. Home Minister Mahmood also was present today along with the cadre.
Before that KTR garlanded the statue of Telugu Talli at the entrance of Bhavan.
Speaker Pocharam Srinivas Reddy unfurled the National flag at the Assembly Premises. The flag hoisting was arranged on the first floor of the Assembly building overlooking the Gandhi Statue in the Lawns.
