The citizens must be happy if they are constructing a house opined K Taraka Rama Rao the Minister for IT and Municipal Administration. He was reviewing the new municipal act at the Buddha Bhavan here in Hyderabad.
Minister opined that people should not be afraid to approach the Municipal offices for getting permission. If the land is under 75 yards the one rupee registration should be enough fro them to construct the house he opined.
They need not take any permission he stated. If the land is under 600 yards the self-declaration by the owner should be enough he opined. If the land is above 600 yards then he will get the permission under the Single window system, the Minister stated.
In other words, the Municipality officials or the town planning officials will have very less role to play or harass the house builders in General. The new house building rules and norms should be simple he opined. They must not be complicated he suggested. There should be no way for the corruption he stated. Everything should be transparent he opined.
Earlier the single window system was successfully implemented for the industries and the same fashion would be done for the building construction also the Minister explained. The industries systems have given good results and the same would be repeated in the Municipal department also.
