K Taraka Rama Rao the Minister for IT and Municipal administration today urged the centre that as part of the Prime Minister’s vision to improve the road network to boost economic growth of the nation, the state of Telangana has taken up ‘Strategic Road – Development Plan (SRDP), which includes, inter alia, improvement of Nagpur- Hyderabad Sector on National Highway NH-44 with 11Km long elevated corridor which require 39.40 acres (15.76 Hect.) of defence land along NH-44.
This would also improve the connectivity between Nagpur and the capital city Hyderabad and will greatly benefit the cantonment by completely decongesting it. To this extent KTR has met the Union Minister for defence and has submitted a letter today.
The Hon’ble Chief Minister, Govt of Telangana K Chanrasekhar Rao vide ref 1st cited has requested to transfer above defence land to state government but till now no orders are received.
The alienation of 39.40 acres (15.76 Hect) of defence land to state government may kindly be expedited KTR requested .
