K Taraka Rama Rao the Working President of the TRS and Minister for IT and industries said that this is the festival where we worship the flowers and the environment. He appreciated K Kavitha the former MP for taking up the cause of Bathukamma through Jagruthi. Even foreigners are worshipping Bathumaa and enjoying the Dasara by worshipping the flowers he said.
The Bathukamm sarees are also an inspiration from Jagruthi he explained. The women are happy that they are getting sarees, while the weavers are getting good employment to the extent of Rs 300 crore he said.
The State Government has taken up the cause and it is a big success he opined. Celebrating Bathukamma as the Government festival was the idea of KCR in particular.
This time KTR was at the forefront for helping out the weavers for giving them the job work of weaving the Bathukamma sarees at Rs 300 crore. This is a very big order for the handloom weavers of Telangana.
