K Taraka Rama Rao the working President of the TRS today expressed his happiness that the fisheries department is doing well and have reached major milestones. He was happy that the incentives and initiatives extended by the TRS government have paid rich dividends.
It may be noted that the State Government has given free fishlings and have encouraged the fishermen community to improve the production under the animal husbandry department.
The distribution of free seedlings and marketing facilities has made all the difference to the fishermen here in the state. The production of the fish in the Telangana region has reached more than 3 lakh tonnes and this is a significant milestone in the history of the state.
The production of the fish will also go up under the Kaleshwaram and Palamuru projects KTR opined. As the irrigation projects improve the fish production will also go up he opined. This will create a lot of development and will improve the economy of the state he said.
It is a great work done by the department of the fisheries he stated. He also tweeted appreciating the department.
