KTR allocates Rs3500 crore for drain and sewer works

Minister for Municipal Administration KTR is on a launching spree of various development works. Earlier he was in Khammam where he launched several development works.

Today he launched some works in Hyderabad. Today he started a Road under Bridge near MMTS station Hitech-city. It will ease the traffic congestion leading to Kukatpally from Hitech city.

Inaugurating various developmental works at Khaitlapur, KT Rama Rao said that to improve sewerage and drainage infrastructure in the merged villages of municipalities on the peripherals of Hyderabad, a comprehensive drainage network would be constructed at the cost of Rs.3,500 crore.

The State government had already begun works for improving the drinking water supply in these areas with Rs.3,000 crore, he said

Rama Rao also laid the foundation stone for a VDCC road at Ambedkar Nagar. We will address this issue. A modern transfer station is already coming up to cater for the needs of the locality,” he said.

KTR said that measures were also being taken up to ensure that rainwater did not enter during monsoon season. The roads are being developed with Rs.99 lakh.
