In connection with Sri Sobhakrit Nama Ugadi, the traditional temple cleansing fete Koil Alwar Tirumanjanam will be observed by TTD in Tirumala temple on March 21.
The entire temple including the roofs and walls of the sanctum sanctorum are being cleansed with an aromatic mixture called Parimalam which will be smeared all along the premises.
This fete will be observed between 6am and 11am and devotees will be allowed for darshan from 12noon onwards.
The board has decided to increase the wages of about 9 thousand people working in various departments of TTD in corporation, contract and outsourcing under unskilled, semi-skilled, skilled and highly skilled categories.

As per the permission of Tirumala Sri Sri Pedda Jiyar Swami and also upon the suggestions of the temple Archakas, the worn out doors of Jaya – Vijaya, the gatekeepers of Srivari Temple, shall be repaired by approving new doors with gold plating at a cost of Rs. 1.69 crores.
