Virat Kohli’s passion for cricket is no secret. And he now says he was crazy about batting since his early years. He has not mellowed down after marriage with Anushka Sharma and he has become more aggressive in batting.
Talking about his childhood Kohli said that he used to break the windows of one aunty regularly and was afraid all the time that she would take him to the task. At that point of time, he would feel that the windows should have been stronger than that.
Breaking the window of that aunty was a regular feature he said.
The players in the same street and he broke the same window all the time. The glass window panes were very fragile he opined.
In 66 Tests, Kohli has 5554 runs while in 208 ODIs, he has amassed 9588 runs. Besides, he has scored 1983 runs in 57 T20 Internationals and is the only batsman to average over 50 in all three formats in international cricket.
Kohli has as many as 56 international hundreds.
He is also the leading run-scorer in the Indian Premier League with 4814 runs which include a record-breaking season when he scored 973 runs and smashed four hundred.
Kohli remembered that he used to run away from the lunchtime for playing and without eating anything. They also waited for the sports time in the school Playing was the priority than eating he said.
He used to play with the plastic bats and his father bowled for him during the school days. Now he is worlds best man and a dependable captain.
