Know the pulse of the audience

The Telugu audience these days is craving for a unique style of movie-making. The way they loved Kanthara and Balagam shows it all.

They want a real authentic story close to the heart. The making should be different. Same old story being rehashed gives bad results at the box office.

Producer Dil Raju said he lost Rs. 25 crore on Shakuntalam which was made on a budget of around Rs 65 crore.

Ravi Teja-starrer Ravanasura was made with Rs. 60 crore but the recovery was around 20 percent.

Liger was made on a budget of more than Rs. 130 crores, but the film collected only one-fourth of it. The Chiranjeevi-starrer Acharya was mounted on Rs. 140 crore, but the makers recovered less than 50 percent.

Now the agent bombed miserably at the box office as the movie was not shot with a full script. One must go for the shoot with a bound script and preferably with a shot division.

That makes all the difference. They must have workshops and rehearsals also like Rajamouli. Shakunthalam and Agent were two big failures for the Telugu film industry.

Too much of graphics also will not work. Cinemas like Vikram, KGF were done in a different styles. The Telugu directors are still following the old formulas and that is where the movies are bombing.
