Union Coal and Mines Minister G Kishan took charge at his chambers at ‘A’ block in Shastri Bhavan in New Delhi on Thursday.

He won from the Secunderabad Parliament constituency with a majority of over 49,000 votes defeating Congress MLA Danam Nagender during the recently conducted Lok Sabha elections.

Kishan is equally close to PM and HM. He could get 8 MP seats in Telangana.

Kishan earlier worked as Union Minister of State for Home Affairs before becoming Union Tourism and Culture Minister. Reddy also worked as BJP president in united Andhra Pradesh and he was the first BJP State president after separate Telangana was carved out.

For the second time, the BJP high command appointed him as Telangana president. Now that he is the Union Minister, a new President will take over Telangana, as reported.

As a Tourism Minister he had nothing to do much across the country. He was busy with elections and politics. Now that he has got a Ministry which has vast scope, he can do something for the Nation.
