Minister for Finance Harish Rao today condemned that the Union Minister of state for Home was speaking in a double tongue regarding the plight of the farming community.
Harish said that it was not right on the part of centre to say that the centre will not pay a single rupee more for the fine rice, and on the other hand the central Minster Kishan Reddy is suggesting the state to pay more.
Is this not a double tongued argument he questioned? The state Government under the dynamic leadership of KCR will strive for the welfare of the farming community he assured.
The fine rice production is in excess in the state of Telangana the Minister explained. The centre is not allowing the state to make better payment he pointed out.
The centre must withdraw the letter of the Minimum support Price immediately he suggested. The centre is warning the FCI on one hand and asking the states to pay more on the other hand.
How far is this correct he questioned? The centre must withdraw the letter first and then suggest for more payment he said. Th Minister also found fault with the way it was importing the corn and then reducing the price of he corn here in Telangana.
The centre can’t blame the state in this aspect heopined. The restrictions imposed by the centre must be lifted at the earliest he suggested. Then the states and the FCI can take the necessary action he said.
