Kishan Reddy the new BJP Chief has an uphill task. The followers of Bandi Sanjay are unhappy with the developments. Except for Sanjay no other has declared that they are happy with the development and especially the reason for the change of guard in the TS BJP.

Kishan Reddy has reportedly been asked to reconstitute his team at the earliest. He is likely to reconstitute several committees. In fact, the party did not have proper committees for several of the morchas and affiliates of the party. As a result, the whole work was going on an ad hoc basis, say party observers.

There is a talk that Kishan was given the power so that he would not go against the BRS in the open. People think there is a match-fixing between the BRS and the BJP.

Kishan is a soft peddler, there is no doubt about it. There are doubts if Kishan would continue with the Ministery or he will just remain the party chief in the days to come.

The party’s national leadership has also ensured that the discontent over Sanjay’s sudden removal does not spill over. The differences were quickly put down and Sanjay was made to fall in line quickly.

The party cadre that rose in revolt too has been made to reconcile and work under Kishan Reddy. Thus, the national leadership quickly got complete control over the Telangana unit of the party.

Being a four-time Chief in the state, Kishan always has his team of followers in place, and that makes all the difference.

But how serious is the central leadership against the regime of KCR is the big question. The first priority of the central leadership is on the MP seats.

Kishan is close to Venkaiah, Dattatreya, Vidyasagarji and others. That makes all the difference.

Anyway the first choice of the leaders this time is Congress and then comes the BJP.

BJP might find it difficult to get candidates for all the seats and it is an uphill task for Kishan Reddy. He has faced such situations earlier also.
