Ram Charan, is producing father Chiranjeevi’s 150th film, which has been aptly named Khaidi No. 150. Directed by V.V. Vinayak, the movie is being produced by Ram, under his home production group, Konidela Production Company.
While the makers launched the first motion poster of the film on Chiranjeevi’s 61st birthday, the commercial entertainer will release on the auspicious occasion of Sankranti in 2017.
A close source reveals, “There is a lot of anticipation surrounding Chiranjeevi’s Khaidi No. 150. Not only are distributors clamouring for the film but the two biggest channels down South are also in a bidding war for the satellite rights.”
Since it is the megastar’s 150th film, it is a landmark production that everyone wants to associate with. Both channels have agreed to offer up to `100 crore for satellite rights, although the producers are yet to lock in on either.” But the fact is that Chiranjeevi is already having MAA TV for the movie. It has to be seen if they give it to MAA or some other channel in the bidding process.
Recently, on Chiranjeevi’s birthday, the first look and title of his comeback film was revealed. The shooting is progressing at a brisk pace and it looks like a special cameo is on the cards.
According to reports, Niharika Konidela, who is the Megastar’s niece, might play a special cameo in ‘Khaidi No 150’. There are talks that Chiru asked director VV Vinayak to tweak the script a little to allow a cameo. Niharika made her debut on the silver screen a few months back with the film ‘Oka Manasu’.
While her debut film tanked at the box office, this cameo is a great opportunity for her to get some popularity. Meanwhile, she is busy shooting for a web series.
