Kesineni Nani raises English issue

Kesineni Nani the MP from the TDP has raised the issue of English in the Parliament. He said that the English was being made compulsory in the state of Andhra Pradesh. The three-language system should be implemented in the state he suggested. He objected to the way English was being introduced on a compulsory basis up to 6th in the state of AP by the YSRC Government led by the CM Jaganmohan Reddy.

AP has been formed on linguistic basis and how can you push English alone neglecting Telugu, he questioned in the parliament. The local languages have to be protected at any cost he said.

Central Minister Pokhriyal assured that the Telugu would be protected and several measures have been taken so far he said. The minister said that all the mother tongues in all the state will be protected and their propagation will be done he stated.

The Indian languages would be further strengthened in the country the Minister assured. He talked about the Telugu and Urdu Universities which were specifically working for the development of the languages in particular.

Earlier Vice President Venkaiah Naidu, AP- LOP Chandrababu Naidu, Baba Ramdev the Yoga Guru, Pawan Kalyan the Jana Sena chief also talked about the Protection of Telugu in particular.
