Now, with the next elections still two years away, most Indians believe that Modi will win the next election and majority of the Telangana people say KCR will come back again as CM . So Modi at centre and KCR in TS will get a second term as things stand .
Opinion polls by various research agencies published over the last week suggest that there is no anti-incumbency factor both at the centre and also here in the Telangana state. Modi is probably even more popular today than he was when he was first elected. At the same time the aspirations of people are building around KCR and they want him to perform for their wellbeing and prosperity.
The first and most important is their leadership. Nobody has seemed like a credible challenger to Modi and KCRs charisma and aura of strength.
The second reason for Modi’s continuing popularity is that he has not betrayed the central theme of his appeal: Anti-corruption. Few people believe that the prime minister is personally greedy and there hasn’t been one significant, corruption scandal during the life of his government. It is same in TS also. This was mentioned by KCR directly.
Both Modi and KCR focus has moved from his original middle class core constituency to India’s poor.
So what is the Opposition’s best hope? Well, if history is anything to go by, Modi can only be felled by unforeseen events that we have no control over.
Here in Telangana, there is nothing concrete to go against KCR and his Government. The entire opposition is groping in the dark to nail KCR on Trivial issues. But KCR is growing like a Hnauman and trying to appease all sections of the society in general.
The BJP created quite a flutter with Amit Shahs tour, but it of no use. It cannot sustain in front of the welfare measures being announced by the KCR Government day in and day out.
So its sahoo Modi ,Sahoo KCR.
