CM KCR accorded a warm welcome to President of India Droupadi Murmu at the Hakimpet Air Force Station here on Tuesday morning.
The President arrived here to participate in the closing ceremony of the 125th birth anniversary of Alluri Sitarama Raju.
Ministers Talasani Srinivas Yadav, C Malla Reddy, P Sabitha Indra Reddy, Satyavathy Rathod, Mohd Mahmood Ali, MP J Santosh Kumar, MLAs Jeevan Reddy, Kaleru Venkatesh, MLCs Palla Rajeshwar Reddy, Mayor Gadwal Vijayalakshmi, Chief Secretary A Santhi Kumari, DGP Anjani Kumar and others were present.
Droupadi Murmu is on a one-day visit in the city on Tuesday as part of her tour of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh.
The President is expected to arrive in the morning by a special flight at Hakimpet Air Force Station and will go to Rashtrapati Nilayam in Bolaram.
Murmu will fly by a helicopter to the Gachibowli indoor stadium where she will attend the closing ceremony of the 125th birth anniversary celebrations of Alluri Sitaramaraju, the revolutionary who fought the British.
She will also go through the photo exhibition on Sitarama Raju at the venue.
Later, President Murmu is scheduled to fly to Bhimavaram in Andhra Pradesh where she will inaugurate the Alluri Sitaramaraju Smriti Vanam and launch a 3D show on the life of the revolutionary leader.
