As Corona new variant is spreading all over the world, Chief Minister Sri K Chandrashekhar Rao has reiterated that, people should be on alert, take self-regulatory measures, follow the government guidelines and they should not entertain any fear or anxiety over the variant. ,

The CM held a review meeting on Sunday at Pragathi Bhavan here on Corona situation in the state and the alertness of medical and health department. The CM also held a review of the R&B, Irrigation departments about the progress of works made in the respective departments.

In the review meeting, Medical and Health Minister Sri T Harish Rao, R&B Minister Sri Vemula Prashanth Reddy, MLC Sri Venkatram Reddy, Chief Secretary Sri Somesh Kumar, Special Chief Secretaries, Sri Ramakrishna Rao, Sri Rajath Kumar, Medical and Health Secretary Sri SAM Rizvi, CMO Officials Ms Smita Sabharwal, Sri Rajasekhar Reddy, Medical and Health officials Sri Srinivas Rao, Sri Gangadhar, Sri Chandrasekhar Reddy, R&B Officials E-in-C Sri Ganapati Reddy, Government’s advisor Sri Suddala Sudhakar Teja, Irrigation officials E-in-C Sri Muralidhar, Sri Hariram, CM OSD Sri Sridhar Rao Deshpande, SE Sri Koteswar Rao and others participated.

Speaking on the occasion, the CM said, people should not entertain any fear about the Corona. However, people should wear masks, do sanitation, maintain physical distance and other such self-regulations should be followed. The CM said everyone should take the vaccine. As on date vaccination programme is taking place for those in the age group of 15 to 18 years. From Monday onwards, the third dose (Booster Dose) will be given to the frontline workers, people above 60 years of age, Health care workers. He said all those who are eligible should get vaccinated. In case of symptoms, people should go to the nearby government hospital and get the treatment done. He appealed to people not to move in groups especially during the Sankranthi festival and try to remain in their homes celebrate taking precautions.
