Except for a few almost all the MLAs in the BRS will get the seats to contest for the next elections. It may be recalled that KCR the BRS Boss has announced the list well in advance and that paved the way for the majority to win the election.
Some prominent names which are very close to the CM are rumored that they would lose the election this time. But the CM will give them the seat see to it that they will win the election.
The beauty with BRS is that the party will finance the candidates so that they will get the seat by hook or crook. KCR knows that the candidates will hesitate to spend their own money.
The CM adopted the same strategy during the 2018 Assembly polls. He dissolved the Legislative Assembly on September 6, 2018 and announced candidates on the same day.
KCR forced early polls in the state in December 2018 against the original schedule of April/ May 2019. While all other major opposition parties struggled to declare their candidates until the nomination deadline in November 2018, the BRS candidates were engaged in full-fledged campaigning from September to November.
This strategy worked and the TRS (now BRS) won elections with a bumper majority by securing 88 seats of the total 119 and retaining power for the second term.
