K Chandrasekhar Rao the CM of Telangana was being called as Telangana Bapu. The comparison is that while Mahatma Gandhi who is also called the Bapu worked for the Independence of India. This Bapu KCR worked for the liberation of Telangana from Andhra and brought the statehood by even putting his life at stake.

The other meaning of Bapu in Telangana is a father. Nanna and Bapu are the words being used by the people of Telangana for calling the father. So both ways he names Bapu fits in for Chandrasekhar Rao.

But the latest is the book written by Urdu Journalist on KCR in the name of 5th Gandhi. Usually, KCR takes flattery with a pinch of salt, but when it is for real and if there is a logic and reasoning to it he likes it. He takes it in the proper form.
