Along with the heat wave the political atmosphere in the State has heated up with the arrival of BJP National President Amit Shah to Telangana and the proposed ,meeting of Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi.
While the PM has asked for a progress report of Ministers, MPs at National level, CM Telangana K Chandrasekhar Rao has also decided to take stock of the performance of the Ministers, Legislators and the MPs here. The TRS Chief has decided to hold a meeting of its MPs and MLAs’ on May 27 here at the TRS Bhavan..
The Party sources said that the organizational matters of the party and the implementation of various welfare schemes would be discussed in the meeting. The Chief Minister Chandrashekhar Rao has asked all the party MPs, MLAs’ and MLCs’ to attend the meeting without fail.
Amit Shah, who is touring in Telangana, is known for his master strategies. He has been touring at the grass root level and interacting with people inquiring about the implementation of central schemes and indirectly criticizing TRS when their answer was negative.
This has naturally irked the ruling TRS Party. In fact, there were reports that the TRS was gearing up for early polls in 2018. The party is also following the same formula of the BJP in publicizing the schemes being implemented in the state.
But with the Amit Shah’s visit, their plans seem to have gone awry. The ruling TRS Party, which is maintaining a dignified silence despite Shah’s criticism, has decided to meet its leaders and chalk out an action plan to effectively rebut the criticism. On the other hand the TRS Chief is trying to strike a chord with the tog guns of the BJP.
Apart from reviewing the implementation of schemes and development works, the leaders will also discuss the party membership drive and appointment of party committees here at the party office.
In the view of high profile visits to the state, TRS Chief Chandrashekhar Rao feels that it is important to keep his flock together and persuade them to stay in the party. At the same time BJP chief in Nalgonda said that the alliance with the TRS will be decided during the elections and there is a lot of time for it.
