The sisters of CM today tied Rakhi to CM at Pragathi Bhavan and blessed him with a long life in public service. Sisters Lakshmi Bai, Jayamma, Lalithamma, and Vindoamma tied Rakhi to CM and offered him sweets.
CM KCR’s wife was also present here on the occasion. CM KCR touched the feet of sisters and they blessed him. He was wearing a white shirt and Lungi and was very informal with them.
There was happiness around. On the other hand, Kavitha the daughter of KCR has tied Rakhi to brother Santosh Kumar. He blessed her and gave them gifts.
Meanwhile, people from across the state especially Siddipet have come to the house of Finance Minister Harish and tied him, Rakhi. Harish assured the women that the Government would provide all the welfare and security to ladies here in Telangana.
Overall there was a festive atmosphere here in the Minister’s quarters and other VIPs houses with sweets and Rakshabandhan program. Some people moved from the city to the rural areas to meet the family members and get the Rakhis tied.
The postal department had a busy time in disposing of the Rakhi covers across the state. The sweet shops did good business. Pulla Reddy Sweets and Emerald Sweets did good business yesterday and today.
