KCR sets Diwali dead line

The CM of Telangana KCR desired that once the treated water is supplied through Mission Bhagiratha, the officials should take care that the supply to be continued uninterruptedly. The CM is taking personal interest in Mission Bagiratha as he has challenged that he will not seek votes if he cannot provide clean potable water to all the housholds.

CM said, that, at this stage, when the works are coming to completion, once again, works on intake wells, water treatment plants, OHSR, OHBR, distributive pipelines, power substations should be examined thoroughly.

CM instructed Mission Bhagiratha Vice Chairman, Secretary and ENC to tour places where the pace of the work is slow and not on the lines expected. CM also personally spoke to couple of local people’s representatives, officials, work agencies and enquired about the progress in the works, problems if any and alerted them. In view of the works coming to a completion cent percent in 10 districts, CM said, that, the scheme could be launched shortly there.

Chief Minister instructed the Mission Bhagiratha official machinery, that, necessary arrangements are to be made for supplying clean drinking water to all the villages by August 15th and to all house holds by Diwali.

The CM said, that, by now already major portion of works as part of Mission Bhagiratha have been completed and the teething troubles have also been overcome.

CM said, that, the rest of the works shall be completed on war footing to meet the time schedule. CM held a review meeting on Mission Bhagiratha in Pragathi Bhavan.
