“We will soon have district committees, state committee and politburo. Selection of the bodies is about 90 per cent completed. There are a few changes here and there.

KCR wants to ensure representation of all sections, especially SCs, STs, BCs and minorities,” a senior TRS leader told greattelangaana.com.

Bigger districts with population above 10 lakh like Hyderabad, Medchal, Ranga Reddy, Nalgonda, Sangareddy, Khammam, Mahbubnagar, Warangal urban and Bhadradri (Kothagudem) will have 24-member committees while smaller districts will have 15-member teams.

“Thanks to 31 districts, about 3,500 party leaders and workers will get party posts. About 10 districts will have BCs as party chiefs. BCs constitute a huge chunk of population and KCR is keen to provide sufficient posts to them. Top posts will be for senior leaders who stood by the party through T-movement,” another senior leader said.

The idea is to take on the opposition just before the anti-incumbency sets in.
