Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao will be reviewing the RTC strike here at the Pragathi Bhavan today in the noon. There is a chance that along with the Government services, there will be private services included in the RTC.
New recruitment will also be done. yesterday 9000 services were run on a private basis. The situation is somewhat better today and more services are expected to be pressed into service.
50000 employees are on strike and it is the second day. Today the RTC employees will be playing Bathukamm at all the bus depot as part of the protest.
There was an ultimatum from the Transport Minister Puvvda Ajay that the employees will be dismissed from the service for the strike. Around 150 employees have come forward to join the service.
The main demand of the employees that they must be taken into the government service. Both the Government and the employees are sticking to their guns.
We have to see if the Government would come forward to settle the issue or will drag it further.
