The Nation remembered Mahatma Gandhi on his 71st death anniversary with President Ram Nath Kovind, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Governor Narasimhan and Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao leading the country and the state in paying the homage to Bapuji, the father of the Nation. The chief Minster and the Governor paid floral tributes to the Gandhis memorial at the Bapughat in Hyderabad this morning. MP Bandaru Dattatreya and leaders from other parties also paid rich tributes to Gandhiji here. Bapujis favourite Bhajan Raghupati Raghava Raja Ram was also played at the Bapu Ghat.
Congress Chief Rahul Gandhi and former PM Manmohan Singh also paid tributes to the Mahatma at his memorial.
