Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao took a decision to offer Rs 3 lakh to the brides who marry Veda pundits and priests. This news was officially confirmed by Telangana Brahmin Welfare Parishad.
These days, Girls aren’t willing to marry Men who turn into Pundits and Priests. This has become a major issue in the traditional Brahmin Families. Hence, Telangana Government decided to change the situation by introducing the new scheme.
The amount will be placed in the Fixed Deposit of the Couple after marriage within a period of 3 years. They can claim the amount only after the completion of the duration.
CM KCR sanctioned Rs 100 crore for Brahmin Parishad. He promised to introduce more welfare schemes before the end of this financial year for the Brahmin community.
Even the proposal to offer Rs 3 lakh to each student who studies in Veda Patashalas is under consideration.
