CM K Chandrasekhar Rao moved the GST Bill today in the Assembly. A special session of the Assembly has been convened for passing the bill . Moving the bill here in the Assembly KCR said that after the bill comes into existence, it will be one country one tax system he explained.
After the new legislation the states will get better share of the taxes he said. He informed the members that the special session has been convened on the suggestion of Governor ESL Narsimhan.
9 states have passed the GST bill so far and TS will be the 10nth state. If the bill is passed then it becomes an act .The members passed the resolution unanimously.
This will be an amendment to the constitution. With this the country becomes a single market and single form of taxation.
