Is K Chandrasekhar Rao moving closer to PM Narendra Modi ?. Is that the reason he is not talking against the demonetisation openly.? Political pundits say yes. They also opined that this was the reason that Babu was irked with the behavior of the centre and also Modi in particular.
KCR knows what is good for the state and whom should he support on what issue at what point of time. That is the reason he could achieve Telangana on his own.
On the other hand N. Chandrababu Naidu, the CM of AP ,one of the staunchest supporters of demonetisation, expressed dismay that a currency crisis still gripped the country 12 days after his political ally and Prime Minister Narendra Modi had launched the drive.
He first supported the move, he also claimed that it was his idea, but now he is unable to digest the bitter pill as it is hurting AP.
“It’s painful to see that the problem caused by demonetisation is continuing even after 12 days.”he stated.
On the other hand his counterpart the CM of TS KCR in mean time has met the PM, and also many ministers over the matter and explained them as to what can be done and what is needed for the TS.
But the chief minister of AP said he was “becoming impatient”. Modi had asked people to be patient for 50 days.
Babu had been advocating a ban on 500 and 1,000-rupee notes since 2013, and was one of the few politicians outside the BJP to welcome the demonetisation announcement of November 8.
“I compliment the PM,” Naidu had himself said after the demonetisation drive was launched, while at the same time questioning the plan to introduce 2,000-rupee notes and seeking a debate on it.
But KCR so far neither complimented nor opposed the currency issue.
