The TRS has decided to support the BJP in every aspect. To this effect the TRS Supremo has held meeting with his MPs and they have decided that they would support the President and the PM candidates in the near future.
KCR has assured the Prime Minister that the TRS would back the BJP’s candidates for both President and Vice-President posts, as it is the TRS’ policy to support the Central government on all issues in the interest of the development of Telangana.The TRS in general will support the Government in power and get the things done.
The TRS has been supporting all the Bills introduced by the NDA during the last three years. KCR will also try to convince the Prime Minister that the TRS is not for confrontation with the Centre but at the same time the Centre also needs to be receptive towards Telangana in approving new schemes and releasing funds.
On the other hand the Irrigation minister T. Harish Rao, who was being wooed by the Congress to join it, has said that the TRS would remain in power in Telangana for the next 20 years.
The minister — who is the nephew of Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao — said the minds of Congress leaders have become blank after the announcement of free fertilisers scheme by the Chief Minister.
Several Congress leaders expressed their opinion that Harish would the right man for the CMs post and that TRS will not give him the post. They suggested Harish to join them and become the CM.
“It will take another five years for the TRS government to undo all injustices done to Telangana by the previous Congress and TD governments,” Harish said.
That clearly indicates that the TRS is buying time for implementing the welfare schemes that were promised left and right by KCR for the up-liftment of the poor and the needy in the state.
