Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao has performed the Bhoomi Pooja for the New Secretariat buildings and also the Assembly buildings here in Hyderabad. The foundation stone for the Secretariat was laid behind the D block in the centre of the lawns in the presence of TRS working President K Taraka Rama Rao, former Minister Harish Rao, Ministers Talasani Srinivas Yadav, Srinivas Goud.
CS Joshi, Government Advisor Ramana Chary and others. All the arrangements were done as per Vaastu for laying the foundation stones at 10 AM on 27nth.
The Secretariat and the Assembly buildings will come up with international standards and amenities here. The legislative council will also be located adjacent to the Assembly premises being constructed at the Errammajil premises near Punjagutta. At the same time, a committee is looking into the construction of the state Secretariat.
They have to decide if all the buildings should be demolished at a time or should they be demolished one after the other. Till such time alternative buildings have to found for the relocation of the departments from the secretariat.
The officials and the employees are expressing happiness that the secretariat is being rebuilt on the same premises. The new buildings will be done with Vaastu compliance. KCR was of the opinion that the new secretariat should be building in polo ground located in Secunderabad.
Because of the security reasons, the centre could not allot polo grounds for the state secretariat. Now it has been finalised that the buildings will come up at the same place but with all the ultra modern facilities.
