Chief Minister Sri K Chandrashekhar Rao will hold a high-level meeting with Finance and Agriculture department officials on Monday (Dec7) at 2 PM at Pragathi Bhavan here. The meeting will discuss the release of funds for the second phase of Rythu Bandhu assistance this year and its distribution and take a decision on it.
Agriculture Minister, the Chief Secretary, Principal Secretaries of Finance and Agriculture, other seniorofficials will participate in the meeting.
It may be noted that the Chief Minister of Telangana KCR is opposing the policies of power and Agriculture to be enacted by the BJP Government at the centre.
He said that the power policy to be introduced by the Government at the centre will fix meters to the power consumption of the farmers and they may not get the free power in the near future.
He also opined that the farmers would suffer in selling the Agri produce if the new policy is allowed to be introduced in the parliament. He wanted to hold a conclave of the like minded Chief Ministers here in Hyderabad and would come up with a Hyderabad declaration against the centre.
But the Prime Minister Modi has explained to the farmers that the MSP being given by the BJP at the centre was several times more than that of the earlier Governments.
He tried to drive home the point that new Agri policy in fact was useful to the farming community in many ways.
